There are far better compounds than Mintex though. Had 1144's - not bad but definitely not amazing, loads of brake dust. 1155's - better than 1144s but again, the bite just isn't there IMO.
EBC Yellow stuffs - better than the mintex pads around Anglesey and Oulton Park. Great bite from cold and the feel through the pedal is great.
Carbon Lorraine RC6 - Expensive to buy but wow, they are the best pad I've ever used. Can brake far later into corners and the confidence within braking increased massively.
Trying out some EBC yellow stuffs next - in talks with EBC about getting some trial pads, will see what comes of it!
Having said that though I have M1144's on my CTR, the perfect road pad IMO, not the best on track however!!
