Fake memory Sticks

So i bought an 8 gig memory stick pro duo off of egay for what i thought was a steal (£21)
Turns out i was ripped off with a fake. After doin some research on the net, i discovered that over 98% of the memory sticks sold on egay are fake.
So basically keep your eyes peeled for the subtle differences between real and fake.
The workmanship on a fake chip is very shoddy. And when in a PSP will not work correctly. If you have problems with copying files and them becoming corrupt its because you most likely have a fake memory stick.
You can check in on seimple process. press triangle when the memory stick is highlighted and look at information.
If it says "Magicgate unsupported" you have yourself a fake.
It should say "Magicgate Supported".

i have had many "fake" duo and imo they aint too bad.. they just transfer data slower.

but yes it does grind your gears when you buy something that isnt what it advertised as

i've got 2 2gb and 1 4gb all fake ones some games don't like the 4gb card jumps a little vice city does it but works perfect on 2gb cards

first thing i bought from ebay was a fake...didnt inspire me with confidence!
