Default Driving Advise Needed....

Right,

I lost my licence for two years for driving my mates road bike when i already had 6 points and a licence but no insurance, a year of my ban will be up in march so of course i was a silly billy at the time and tryed to get away from the coppers which made matters worse so now i am wondering if there is anyway possible that i can get months taken off my two year ban??

I was told if you have a good enough excuse then you will get this but if not you have no chance.

Anyone Know Of This?

Cheers

You needed to appeal at the time, a year down the line they arent really going to listen.
If you seriously need it reducing you will have to pay for a good automotive lawer to fight you case, but leaving it a year is probably pushing you luck.

Speak to Mr Loophole! Or if you can't stretch to that then find a firm which specialises in road traffic incidents and consult them about any options you may have.

They would probably laugh at you.
I think you have to try and get the appeal for the course at the start of the ban.
You need to phone round locally asking for lawers that specialise in this area. They will be your best bet but dont be suprised to pay around £30-£40 an hour if it goes to a court.

Mate your best option is speak to a lawer they will tell you what they can offer and your options available. Normally they will do this for free as well.

right this is one thing i know alot about unfortunatly!

to start mate they DON'T and CAN'T knock time off if your ban is for under 3 years, if you were drunk at the time there's a rehab course you can do, but as you were sober unfortunately you have no chance mate they wont even let you try!! hate to be the bearer of bad news, i was banned for 3 years and im 2 years into it, and they have turned my appeal down twice as i was sober i knew full well what i was doing, so i've just got to sweat it out they only let you appeal every 3 months but as i've tried twice i've run out of chances, solicitors charge like £280 to prepare all the papers and attend court, i've told them my job was on the line (now lost) that it was restricting access to my daughter as she lives a few miles away, and i had a fully taxed, mot'd car and insured fully comp even a letter off employer to state i was losing my job due to me not being able to drive, and they still said no twice

ive just got my licence back mate. i had a 4 year ban but i appealed and i got a year knocked off it. so im now back on the road. as for you getting your licence back early i think you have no chance. its only if you get 4 or more years ban that you can appeal and get it back early. you could try but i think you won`t get it. also it cost me just short off 900quid. so if you have that amount off cash spare go for it. but it will be a waste. the law says if you are banned for more than 4years you can appeal after you have sat half your ban but the courts only seem to give it back if you have sat two/thirds of it.

i got my license revoked for getting 6 points, well i got pulled 2 days later (hadn't updated DVLA address doh!) and was told about revoke, went to court and it was adjourned, went on a trip to birmingham and my ex was driving, as we was going up the road she started to have a miscarriage so we headed off to the nearest hospital, approx 1 mile away she got really bad so i chucked her on back seats and made the decision to drive, got pulled 200yds down the road as the car was registered to me and it came up on the ANPR thing in a traffic car, judge was harsh and banned me for 3 years

CLICK HERE for guidelines on driving ban reductions and good luck!
