dude you got it a lil wrong LOL
with dance you dont need to do that
all you do is drop the bass on the incoming track have the gains not as high as the track playing lower the treable on the track thats already playing rase the treable on the track your bringing in so the hi freq's dont clash then slowly cross over the basses so they flow well.
then all your doing is playing with the gain knob to level out the tracks so no track has a horrible bass boost sound.
your tutorial is good il give you that but its not the exact way to do it these days
mid you only need to honestly play with if the track your bringin in has a very present lead sound or a vocal to the track.
High - makes the track clear
Mids - makes the track sound richer to much mid and the tracks will sound muddy
Bass - used right makes basslines sound mad on a big sound system and can also make the kick in tracks sound a hell of alot more puntchy.
only thing with it is all tracks are masterd to a set industry level so adding more bass mid hi can actually spoil a track more then help it in the mix as songs are compressed so your in a sence fighting one bass frequency against the other. same princeaple with sub in boot and 6x9's fighting each other over pressure differences.
il have to sort out a vid sometime whilst im at the station

be late at night like pmsl.
