The Start
Well after having a great time modding my basic 1.1i Independence into a little beast of a 1.1 GTi... I thought it was about time that I moved onto something with abit more power. Obviously a Pug 106 GTi would have been the first option, but there was simply not enough decent one's hanging about that were relatively new with low mileage and totally standard. The one's that were are sooo over priced it's crazy! So the next option was a Saxo VTS... I've always been a fan of the Saxo and prefered the dash styling over the 106 for one.
So in Mid December 07 I picked up my totally standard Posi Blue 52 Plate Saxo VTS and was incredibly happy with it! Let the modding begin...
Next up was a good clean and fitting of my late model GTi air-bagged Leather/Alcantara Interior....
And that was it for 2007!!

In early Jan 2007 I got my ordered Spax Shocks and Eibach -45mm lowering springs.... so it was a trip down to my mates garage for slamming...
I was very impressed with the results... Also threw some French Plates on for that authentic feel....
A quick tunnel shot during the 106Owners 19th Jan South East Meet.

Looking good, love the leather. Get a proper strut brace though and a lower one, then upgrade the brakes and exhaust and you will have a very nice car.

What can I say.... i'm abit of a stlye-whore.
Seriously thinking about getting a lower brace... only thing putting me off is the roads in this area, and the sheer amount of speed bumps.
Already looking at some better brakes... possibily GTi-6 or 206 GTi.
Exhaust wise i'm gona get a Magnex Full System De-cat with 4-2-1 Manifold.

I should have mentioned that with those mods it will have my spec , i think i said on ssc that its the same as mine, even the age too, shame i dont have the interior though.
Ive got gti180 brakes and cant fault them, think i need new pads and discs but they are well worth it.
Also this weekend i should be fitting my magnex decat and cat back, get it sounding good.

Hahaha good man... Once i've got the mani and exhaust sorted i'll start looking for some 180 brakes... heard from alot of people that rate them highly.
Love the sound of the Magnex systems... sit nice on Sax's as well!

It's down 45mm on Eibach springs on the front... the rear torsion is lowered the same to match.... so i'd say 45mm and handles really well!
