i know that the battery light is probably on because the altenator is failing!! the altenators in saxos r terrible the majority of them play up at some stage! m ine flashes like mad esp wen i am driving it hard!! so far i havent had any probs with it other than the light flashing 'touch wood'!!lol!! honastly i am not sure if the managament light is on due to the altenator problem!!

Citroen Saxo VTR - 02 plate
Having serious problems with the engine management system at the moment. Taken it to the garage ona number of occasions. Originally they fitted a new catalitic converter and that seemed to do the trick for about a day. Then the engine management light come on again. This seemed to keep happening every time i took it back to the garage, i'd drive about 40 miles then the light would come on again (thankfully the garage are not chrging for the work). The mechanics at the garage obviously dont know what there dealing with, can anyone shine any light on the problem because its doing my haed in......?

Sounds like it could be lambda sensor related. They could have changed just the CAT element itself or changed the whole manifold as a unit... either way, I'd check both sensors for any signs of damage (they are a pain in the arse to get out) - you will be able to see if they are rounded off. Chances are they will have just re-used the sensors from the old manifold.

Was on for about a week, then went off and hasn't been on since. Really not sure what it was tbh.
