Default floppy gear stick

my gear stick ect is very loose like when your in get say 1st its hard to tell wether its not in gear.

what do i need to sort this? looking at comp shifts from Kam but dont they just shorten the throw off the gear stick?

Gear linkages (x-sport or group n adjustable's) will they stop the sloppieness. how much rufly does it cost to have gear linkages fitted? or is it a easy job as i can do it at college if it is.

Full set of 3 Citroen links cost me about £35
Didn't fit myself, but can't imagine it being too difficult if you can get it on a ramp.
Think you'll need them pretty tight if you want a short-shift system

not really looking for a short shift, just to get rid off the sloppyness off it. i heard about a pin falling out off the gearbox whichs makes it super floppy?

Mine went very sloppy a while back.
Was a small bolt holding some part of the linkage / something similar to the side of the gearbox was loose.

Tightened it back up and all was like new (Its near the exhaust somewhere).
Failing that, could be work linkages.
Quickshift kit would be a nice upgrade, and would reduce throw and make things feel nicer in there.

i got the x-sport ones and theyre great can tell the difference, not much but it is there. The linkages and the quickshift got rid of my floppy easily and its a lot quieter too.

costs about £23 at a garage to fit linkages and a quickshift

Im sure someone did a tutorial of how to changed it on here, just search
