I've asked about this recently, and have since taken advice and checked all electrical connections and sensors, which seem to be fine. Only problem is, this hasnt cured the problem!

Did a head gasket change about 2 months ago. Since it has been put back together, it has sometimes hesitated under load and sometimes even when accelerating slowly.

Reminds me of when I had an air leak on the carburettor engine.

What pipes would have needed to be disconnected and then reconnected when taking the head off? (As in pipes that would cause shit running if not put back on properly.)

sounds coil pack and spark plug ish.

un plug it all give it a clean and try some new plugs.

Coil pack was replaced very recently with a brand new item. It's just weird that it should start to do it as soon as I change the gasket.

I'll take the plugs out and check.

A compression test wouldn`t hurt m8 then go from there.

Air leak on the inlet manifold?

All the sensors clean and on properly?

Compression test is a good idea. Head warped when head gasket went? Got it checked? Skimmed?

Just a few ideas I'd check.

as they are saying a vaccum hose mite be split or not on properly, also change the coil packs and sparks, have you done a diagnotic check as it mite be picking up knock and retarding the timeing.

Hi people.

Okay, I ended up changing the spark plugs too and also checking the sensors again. All were fine, but it didnt cure the running problem.

I then noticed the see-through fuel filter was pretty much black, so £1.49 later, a brand new one was on there and the car now runs fine! Wish I'd thought of that first, would have been a lot cheaper but at least the car has various new parts now anyway.

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for all the adivce people
