Thinking of staying in Education...
Right, I've done uni, I'm still at uni, I've got a great job, I'm getting paid rather well. Life is good, very good.
Now I personally can't be arsed to work in the 'real world' though.
Now that I couldn't run for VP as I was too good for it I'm thinking about a PhD.
Long shot I know, but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with PhD'ers in industry? has a PhD'er in their family or is in fact the carrier of a PhD?
spam is welcome just incase no one actually replies with anything useful.
Incidently if I do it and get the qualification (3-4 years) you'll all have to call me Dr Adsayer and I'll ask for a username change also - guaranteed to pull the babes

All I know is doing a PHD greatly reduces your employability, so if your doing a PHD your more likely to end up in education

Ryan you need to sort it so you can tell everyone at car shows that you sorted the box for me so everyone likes you and dont think your a loser
sayer you need the box sorting for the ring trip so that you can have a go of it and tell me how good it is

im at uni, i cant drive 80mins there and 80mins back to sort it when im trying to do research for work atm. also quaife shut early fridays.
im sorry dude but im at uni earliest i see me being able to get it to them is over easter.

Not really..... depends entirely on the area of work you are doing, but it is a well known fact that in many cases doing a PHD can reduce your chances
