no they wont pass an MOT
unless you want to put the cat back on every year, get a sports cat that allows more airflow but is still legal

As said tis illegal.....Closest thing to a de-cat is a sports cat, but personally would just de-cat it and swap with normal cat come MOT time.

isnt it annoying when people post somthing others have said to "be useful"?
de-cats are cheaper then sports cats also..
and it will take you about 10 mins to jack up the car, remove 4 bolts and insert cat for mot... etc..
20 mins of a year.. to remove and replace.. can you afford that?

if you know an mot tester like me then you wont have to change it. try and get to know an mot tester as mine keeps the emission tester back away from the exhaust to read my emissions

lol. i know what your saying, just tell him you need an mot,(when you do), and just slip in the equation that you have a de-cat pipe and say 'is there anyway this can be tested cus its a bugger to swap over everyime'!
Worked for, throw a tenner or so his way and that keeps him sweet, ive seen mot testers test a similar car for emissions to pass it!
You'll be surprised if you ask nicely

lies!! as of (not sure what year) cars must have them to clean up emissions even if they low enough to pass a cat must be present!
