VTS into VTR and immobiliser query
Got a couple of quick queries I hope someone can help with:
1) My mate is wanting to fit my 16v engine out of my mk1 vts into his mk1 vtr. He will be taking the ecu with the engine. Are any other parts necessary, such as the loom? Or are the looms the same on all mk1 vt's?
2) My vts has the chipped key immobiliser. Will he also need the ignition barrel or can the transponder be removed? Will this cause the immobiliser to be permanantly on, or can you disconnect the immobiliser?
3) The new engine which will be fitted in my car has the key pad immobiliser. How do you remove this?
