Default Koni Adjustable Damper info required

Howdy folks,

Been searching about but i couldnt turn up enough info and thr Koni website does my head in.

What are the damping rates of the koni adjustable front shocks like at their max & min?

Atm mine are about 3/4 of the way stiff and it feels like its too much for the springs (SPAX 40mm)

How do the Koni adjustables compare to the BillieB8/GrpN shocks etc, anyone have any info on it?

Managed to get out for a nice "spirited drive" for the first time in a while and its just understeer heaven atm

Cheers

GrpNs are quite a bit higher damping rate. I remember someone bandying the numbers around, no idea if they were accurate though.

Soften up the fronts, will help a fair bit.

I used to have konis with eibach springs, had the front set only 1/2 way and rears 3/4. You want the front to be a bit softer so it has more progression and can therefore find grip

when adjusting the shocks you should really start at the softest and gradually increase. Takes a bit of experimentation to get right. Most shocks manufacturers don't willingly give info on their damping rates etc and without the spring rates also you just have to make a wild assed guess

Its tricky but it can be done on-car

I'll have a bash at softening them up this weekend because as it stands its definitely necesary. My front it fully polybushed too and the rear isnt which doesnt help either!

CHeers for info guys, keep it coming. I'm still debating whether to just give up with the adjustables and get some billies or something

i have my konis on the rear half hard there is 2 settings no understeering problems is a little at time but alex advised to put tehm on fully hard. I am also a fully turn nd a half off fully hard on the front, but going to take that half a turn off so its a full turn off.

You got teh car lowered the right height? my rear sits slightly higher, lowered it 35mm but looks like the front sits lower if you get what i mean? but there is the same distance between arches and wheels.

With my konis got to take them off the car! so its a bit of a bitch to constantly to trial and error. Unlike spax can adjust them on the car

What? What? What? lol ful turn half turn?

My front springs are 40mm SPAX ones.

If you can get your fingers into the spring & a wrench or something then you can adjust them on-car
