Default **Urgent Help Please**

Hi guys!

I have a problem...
(Pardon me for the grammar im in work and just trying to right it as quick as possible)

Basically heres what happened...
I was just pulling into asda car park last night about 7ish and all of a sudden the car went sluggish and I knew it was going to stall so I put my foot on the clutch and rolled into a space...

About 45 minutes after checking fuel cut off and seing is something was burnt or broke I couldnt get it started all of I sudden as if by magic it come on...Yet again it was sluggish and I said to my passenger it was going to stall again...

Minutes down the road it was running smoothly nothing seemed wrong with it. I come off the round about and it just cut out no warning or nothing...

It starts again and I get it home without stalling...I had to drive it as I had/have work this morning and I had to get here...

I checked all my levels and everything but nothing was low or empty...

after driving round a invisible lap I made up it stalls 3 times in the exact same place (going up hill)

now it stalls here there and everywhere...I could be doing 5mph or 70mph the same thing happens! it just totally looses power changing down or up a gear does nothing but increase and decrease the revs till it comes o a stand still...

It stalled on the way to work on the dual carriage way but I literally come to a stop turned the key a few times and walla!it works again and im off...

I'm no mechanic so dont take my word on this but it feels like a dirty carb or stick injector or something... but like I said I work with computers for a living not cars...

Any help would be grately appriciated...

Chris!

Oh by the way I parked up and it ticked over perfect for about 45mins till I drove round the corner and boooooooooooom! stalls lol...

Has this happened to you or do you know what it could be ?

You had a look at the fuel filter? Or know when it was last changed?

Jack up the car passenger side the fuel filter is clipped in just forward of the rear wheel gently pull the metal bracket/clip down get some rag & a bucket gently clamp the fuel lines that exit/enter the filter.Take off the lines offer up the new filter their should be an arrow on the old filter(direction of fuel travel)put the new filter in making sure the fuel lines on securely now re-fit the bracket lower the car down start it(will take a while for the fuel to come through) & check for leaks.

I went and filled up £30 of petrol from a different petrol station and its been fine since! im not saying its fixed might of just been lucky with not stalling but everything seems to be running smoothly!

I have a feeling there was some dodgey petrol in asda maybe ?

Anyways thanks for all the help think im going to get all the filters and that changed anyway

Yeah you can get a dodgy batch of petrol, just don`t fill up at a SHELL garage as in the South East there is a credit card scam going on,how I could have spent £200 on fuel I don`t know. The credit card company re-embursed me though(sorry to hijack your thread)
