just wait a bit lonbefore putting it in reverse it actually says in the cars manual
if its doing it a lot then could be the box at fault or just something as simple as the linkages

my old vtr used 2 do this too sometimes
stick it into 1st then back down into reverse
or
put it in neutral lift the clutch then put clutch back down and reverse gear again it should be fine alot of cars do it, its the cogs not sequencing(sp) properly into sinc, there for it needs to kinda move a cog over to fit if you understand
hope this helps
Callum
