Default Robs progress thread .:EXTERIOR CHANGES #61:.

1. Standard
2. Dials
3. Cleaning Stuff, Stickers and Grill
4. Cleaned
5. LED's, Wheel and Alloys
6. Exhaust Video
7. Badges, Mirror Caps and Grill

probably the worst progress thread ever made but i dont care
k, i bought my furio in february for a whoping £3350
i was taxed and MOT'd for 6 months, only had 25k on the clock, was in a good condition and the engine sounded sweet
travelled all the way down to pudsey in leeds (about 100 miles) to have a look at it and i loved it straight away
2 weeks later we went back down to pic it up, and it stayed in the same state for a while. I dont have any completely standard pictures cos as soon as i got it i went to halfords to buy some rims, for some reason i had a vauxhall one on. I also ordered an exhaust tip cos i hated the look of mine, and yea it still looks shit . Anyway, after buying these, this is what it looked like.

And then about 2 weeks ago i stumbled across this site
after searching a bit i decided i wanted to modify it a bit, but for various reasons i couldnt lower it, get a new exhaust system, get a new interior or get some decent ICE.
Anyway, the mods began, but as Predator will tell you i didnt really know what i was doing, but thanks to this site i managed to get most of them done

First came the de-wipering, painting the rear badges and grill. The owner before me was crazy and stuck about 20 things on it, including a crappy fuel cap sticker and 16v badges so i took all them off too to clean it up. I then moved into the interior and sprayed the vent surrounds, speakers, glove box and other bits to match the seats. My VTR wheels came, but were in such a bad state so im having to get them refurbed which is happening soon (thanks jason )
Then recently, my bee sting areial, mirror caps which i had to spray, rear VTR lights, pedal covers which are shit and the best of all, sax-p stickers

this is how it looks now after a 2 hour clean for its service on monday

future plans arent much, new steering wheel, having the wheels refurbed and spraying the dial surround blue, while at the same time putting in the new dials (pred )

hope you like it, any opinions are welcome
also any suggestions on what else i could do thats quite cheap

I'd get it lowered 40 all round, that way you get nice looks and doesn't cause too many problems over speed bumpers oh and you don't feel like your spines shattered after a couple of hours driving

I know a local garage charge £110+springs to lower a saxo, which gives you an idea on what your going to be charged

well it was originally gona cost me 280 odd.. but then when they were doin it my dampers were leakin... so got some new ones stuck on

so them, springs, fittin + torsion bar adjustment come to 390

they never charged me labour either on the dampers which was good of em.. also 1 of my track rod ends was knackered so they sorted that with a new one aswell

that was at demon tweeks

Plans: just this minute had my VTR wheels sent off to Jason to get them refurbed
supersprint back box and center section coming next month
lowered 40mm or 50mm
sort the interior trims out, either respraying them a different colour or getting standard ones back in
fit the items in the pic below, sorry about quality the camera is shite
