just thought i'd let you all know ive just passed ma final interview for the RAF regiment.
So i move to suffolk or training on the 10th August. so hopefully ill meet some of you SaxP members down there !

what you going in as? gunner....officer?
good bunch of lads in the regiment, done a few training exercises with them. shame they are phasing out the rapier defence systems, they are quite a bit of fun.

ye going in as gunner. i have the qualifications to be an officer its just i'd prefer to be " one of the lads " lol.
i did a training course with em 3 weeks ago, loved it !
cant wait to go now lol !

yeah you can always work your way up i suppose. You're lucky, they are in the process of kitting out the raf reg with all the new kit like new gas masks and gun sights.when you go to afghanistan, you will be better equipped than the yanks! (if gordon brown doesn;t pull the plug on it)

ha ive already been measured for the new masks, got given a pair of £150 boots for free lol. n ill be stayin in some brand new blocks built for the regiment trainees, so joint at the right time ! ha
