Default Headlights and legal issues

ok im not wondering about smoking them
its about having them on the car

im pretty sure its illegal to have them off
it is illegal to have the glass off? or to have the plastic bit which is sprayed when smoking?

bascially im not gonna have them smoked in time and i've had to order a new headlight cos i fucked mine

i dont wanna stick the smoked bit back in and seal the glass on, and then in 2-3 days have to unseal them and take it all out?

thanks, rep will be given for help

you can spray everything on plastic bit on the inside of the glass except the shiney silver around the light bulb bit itself as that reflects the light.

also you cant spray the cover that covers the indicator bulb up as the orange bulb needs to be able to shine throught also

is that what you wanted to know.
