Default setting up speakers

hi i'm in the process of setting up my speakers and sub. i've amped up the component speakers as well as the sub. but sound quality wise is it best to have as much bass running through the sub as possible and just have the front speakers doing all the other stuff vocals etc. thanks

na i got a 4 channel amp. i have the sub set up in low pass mode and the front speakers were in full range mode but i set them up in high pass mode. which doesn't sound to bad the doors hardly vibrate with all the bass coming from the sub.

fronts should be on hp anyway although with the x-over from the comps anyway it shouldnt matter.

to set something up properly needs a day with a real time anayliser (sp) and someone who knows what they are doing.

the way you have done it will be fine for the sound you are after prob.

ideally though you want it so you cant really tell where the bass is coming from, i.e it shouldnt distract or take the sound away from the speakers playing the rest of the music.
