Hey everyone. Just a quick question!
The last few days my Sax has been making a weird noise, its only faint at low revs though! Say i put it into second to take a corner and im slowing down it makes a whirring noise :s. I dont know what it is but its annoying me more and more. It even does it when its stood still and i rev it. It sounds like the alternator :s Its strange! Any help will be great!

Cheers Foxy

im not an expert, but have heard that gearbox makes a whirring noise when its gettin old and nackered. but only in low gears at low revs. its loudest in 1st gear coming down from just under 3000rpm to idle.

ask ur mechanic mate, suggest to him might be the g/box

It sounds like the clutch bearings to me, try when at idle put the clutch down and see if the noise stops?

Foxy_VTR did you get this problem sorted in the end? Got what sounds like the same sort of noise on the run down and seems to be coming from the top pulley, any ideas?
Tensioner and cambelt have been replaced recently, going in on tuesday to have it slackened off abit to see if that helps, thanks very much all

Did loosening the belts help? Mines started whirring now since having the cambelt and alternator belts changed today. I can hear it when i change gear mainly and when changing down to a lower gear when slowing down and revs are higher. Help?! Lol
