very true mate, i got a brand new pioneer sub and amp from ebay about 5 weeks ago for a mate and total price was only 60 quid.... amp was same one thats in that package above...

i tend to look for things which have been listen incorrectly... takes a while but thats how u find the bargains.

got a fli trap (designed by vibe) its 1000w 12' sub already in a carpeted box, with a amp included. it was 150quid from halfords, they dont fit them though for some reason, due to liscensing or somthing. ive got it on halfway on power, and my mirrors vibrate so much i cant see out of them, back windows when open pop back in, and number plate rattles like a childs toy.

but all in all they are very good for the low priced market.

scott you are really not a fan of those 6x9's atall are you i bet somewhere you have a set in your car,

Anyway back to subject the fly gives good performance for the price as they are doing it for £100 at halfords now so even more of a bargin, but if you want to spend £200 i would go with the new vibe enclosed boxes with a active amp give it stacks and sounds peachy, the 10" very good for low punchy beats

cheers for the ideas guys im only after the subs and the amp as im planing on building my own box,

all i get confused on is how powerfuul the amp has to be to power the sub

i.e if i have a sub that was 1000w max and 400rms how powerful would the amp need to be?

for a rule of thumb... try to match RMS with RMS

ie 400w RMS sub... 400W rms amp
