Default Shaking gearstick

Started my car up before and there seemed to be a knock coming from the engine when I started it. Had a good search but mine doesn't seem so simple as an engine mount. It was fine then, drove about 2 miles slowed down to 15mph in 2nd gear and gearstick started shaking quite badly but stops when I accelerate.

I then began to feel it a little bit through the wheel too. Could it be an engine mount? Car seems to creak when pulling off and turning when going very slow.

Its also been running strange for the past 3 months or so, like hard to start (only occasionally - have to keep foot on accelerator then finally starts), idles poorly occasionally, revs by itself on idle sometimes, driveshafts clunk quite a bit when turning. Its not doing too well . Anyone help?

i know this probably won't help much, but unless someone else with the same problem helps you, then you might just have to go to a garage to get it looked at, either way - good luck mate!

True, although I forogt to mention something.

I've had a lower strut brace fitted by the garage 3 days ago. Now i've got a 4-2-1 and this sits low as my 1.0 block is shorter than 1.6's etc, so the exhaust is kind of sitting on the strut brace at the moment. Could the shaking of the exhaust hitting the lower brace (its heat wrapped so not much noise) be making the gearbox vibrate and in turn making the gear stick shake? Just a thought?
