Anyone got a saxo-busa?
Being into old mini's I found out about a company in the north east called Z cars Ltd - they convert small cars into fire breathing sheep in wolfs clothing type cars such as the old minis and funnily enough the saxo by ripping out the standard engines, and half the back of the car and plonking either a 2 Litre honda VTEC lump or even better a suzuki hyabusa motorbike engine. Wondered if anyone here has one? is thinking of one? or knows someone who has one?

yeah cost looks to be about £6k without the engine?! So, take one saxo VTR say £1500, one build kit from z cars £6000, and a hybusa engine turbo poss £2-2500, thats £10,000 to create a 400 BHP, 0-60 in 3 secs road legal car.
To me that sounds worth it - if you had 10,000 to spend of course

No defo not an everyday car, would have thought it be very easy to find yourself in someones bumper driving in traffic. You wouldnt have a boot or rear seats either. But still its an idea for the future

The mini, just the usual stage 1 intake/exhaust, ported head, SW5 cam, Hi-los and a big twin DTM exhaust nothing major like a turbo! Saxo is staying as it is because I dont think Im allowed to modify it as its on a finance agreement. Might want to put some black oz wheels on it though anyway. that a standard mayfair you got?

Friend of mine had a 1420 mini turbo prepped by Z cars. Went like stink the first time he took it out until his bonnet flipped open at 70ish
