Default ashley exhaust vts fitment trouble

he there guys. i fitted a new ashley exhaust yesterday on my mark 2 vts... the actual backbox seems 2 sit REALLY low down from the cut out in the bumper...infact i can almost fit my fist in the gap! ive looked at some posts on here and some people say they fit really nice and others say they fit shit was just wondering if any1 has any ideas, also the backbox cant really go any higher without the pipe touching the top of the axel (i think thats what it is) so do i need 2 take it somewhere 2 get the pipe slightly bent or has any1 found another way of making it a bit higher? would REALLY appreciate it if some1 could help me as it looks shit how it is

thanks sam

i bolted mine on tight with the center pipe resting on the rear beam with a folded up peice of heat wrap between passed its mot twice like that never had any issues with it

it sat nicely in the cut out. have you got the adjustable hanger brackets? which would allow you to do the same as me?

If not buy some shorter exhaust rubbers for the rear

Some people use a cable tie to get them sitting right, also you could try motorsport rubbers which are more rigid that might help their about £14 on ebay.
