Default Am I Right?

A friend of mine has just got a new Saxo 1.1i and is intent of modding it up. He has done all the basic stuff which I won't delve into, but he has just got an Induction Cone Filter.

Now all those who know the layout of a Saxo 1.1i engine will know there is a pipe connected to the manifold and the radiator which is connected to the air filter, but I suppose during the excitement of having a loud car he did a bodge job and disconnected all the pipes and replaced the old filter with the induction kit.

Is this a problem??

no.. the pipe form the top of the manifold is basically for the winter to get hot air in to warm the car up quicker.

But it is winter

But also where he has removed the pipe and added extra weight with the cone filter, it has pulled the other bit to the left apart (sorry, not the most educated when it comes to engines)
