Default Too cold to clay bar?

Can it be too cold to clay bar your paintowrk, as obviously the clay needs to be malleable and supple to pick up contaminants, but wont it just harden up on contact with paintowrk thats about 3 degrees!

Put it in some warmish water to soften it up a bit or rub it in the palms of your hand until soft, remember to use plenty of lube(quick detailer/water) depending on which clay bar you use.

Hope that helps

Wayne

Use abit more Lube like Wayne said when it's cold ... Warming up in your palm will help like said also.

Gave mine a layer of Colly 462 the other day for the winter. Was the easiest application I've done tbh - no sun to bake the stuff on, haha.

Around £25 and you get 2 squash ball size pieces of clay, quik detailer, cleaner wax and a microfibre cloth. I thought it was pretty good value.

well it comes with 2 pieces of clay... that are supposed to be re-usable.... realistically I day your probably only looking at 1 or 2 uses per clay barthink id prefer to just use it the once though tbh ... would defeat the object of doing it if your clay is already contaminated from a previous sesh?

Should really only use a claybar once!!!

I got the megs kit which is mentioned above and only ended up using 1 bar of clay, so still have one bar left!
