Default Headlights / Interior light on when unlock car

You know how on Golf Mk5's, nwe audis, merc's etc when you unlock the car the headlights or sidelights go on or the interior lights or footwell neons.

Then when the door/boot is opened they stay on, and when the door /boot is shut they go off.

Anyone ever done this on a saxo or know how it could be done?

Cause i think if you had angels eyes that came on when you unlocked or an led interior light that lit up the interior when you unlocked it, it would look rele good.

The only thing i can think of is the make the door pins a switch, so when they go up they make 2 wires contact, and those 2 wires can be in the interior light or footwell neons circuit.

Anyone else think it would be cool or got any ideas?

Anything is possible, just got to get it all wired in etc.

like most allarms flash the indicators when armed/disarmed others keep the indicators on for say 5 seconds.

Just got to change it to your headlights/interior light/neons etc etc

for example, im going to be fitting some LED strips above the passenger and driver footwells, but only want them to come on when i open the doors, just have to wire them to the sensor which puts the interior light on when you open the doors......

It is possible, but could be a complicted job

for footwell lights it would need a delay/timer

the sidelights would need to be connected up to the central locking somehow

I have a Toad alarm, when you unlock the car the interior light comes on. So you could probably connect some footwell lights to run off it aswell.

Theres also an output so the headlights/sidelights can come on, tho you still need to add a relay aswell. Also the length of time they come on for is adjustable.

I would have thought splicing into the + feed for the A pillar switches will give you neons on/off when you open/close the doors.
