Toyota Celica
the 00 model onwards.
The 140bhp one isn't quite as nippy as the VTS but that doesn't bother me, just broadening my horizons..
can get one around 3.5 k with a fairly high mileage but its toyota so in theory it has quite a lifetime
what you think ?

How tall are you?
My missus is 5ft5, when she was looking at one she was put off by the fact she could hardly see over the steering wheel.
Other than that, a bit expensive on parts and not that many 2nd hand spares.
Looking foookin ace all riced up though

I was looking at them before i got the ST. But then i found out i wouldn't be able to see over the steering wheel and visibility at the back is poor which makes it hard to park. Other than that they look gorgeous!! My lil bro saw one the other day and shouted FERRARI!!! lmao

Celica's- for the money I can't think of many cars that are prettier. Granted, you can get some better driver's cars, but I'd say the Celicas, even the base models, are very good-looking motors. 140 model is brisk enough for some fun but won't touch a VTS, if you can stretch to it, the VVTL-i 190 version is worth a shot, gives the Celica the punch to match the looks. Handling good but not amazing, nice interiors and built properly well.
Decent cars.

Not bad looking cars.
Dont expect the world in terms of performance, but still not that bad.
Fucking cramped inside mind.

Seriously look into the 190 model, before my ATR I was looking at them and the 190's aren't much more expensive to insure than the 140s I found. I drove the Corolla T-Sport which has the same 190 engine and it was more like it engine wise, (rest of the Corolla 190 is shite compared to the Celica 190 mind, but thats another story...), 140 version isn't bad but the 190 has the poke you'll be looking for coming from a VTS.

Try and get one that was made before april 2001 so you it doesn't fall into the new tax band system

mate u should get the gt4 98-99 model.you would pick 1 up for less than 3k with low miles.they are a serious machine with the 4wd.my mate had 1 of these in ireland and spent a few pound on it.subarau eater amongst other high performance cars.but if u dont wanna go back the years.gud choice of car.not much goes wrong with the celica if u get that was looked after

cheers man good advice. and too vtss, dont want the old one. its purely for style and the badge, dont care about performance either! the new one with the gt bits on would be awesome to get into everyday. imagine the looks!
