these days you see more and more modified cars driven by middle aged drivers..the other day i saw a woman taking her kids to school in a modded polo..is it right that people stereotype drivers of modified cars as being young guys and a small majority woman?or should anyone who wants to drive a modified car be allowed to without getting weird looks?what do you think?

It might be for insurance reasons, they may have a younger person as a named driver and they have modified the car. But the older person has to drive it every now and again to remain the "main" driver of the car. More and more insurance companies are emphasising the point that if they can prove you are not the main driver, then your insurance is void.

yes but insurance matters aside..if an older person is the only driver of the car then do think consider it strange for a middle aged person to drive a modified motor or do you think its normal?personally i think people should be allowed to have what they want but i was wondering what others opinions are

people are entitled to drive what they want, it would be strange to see a 60 year old in a pink nova with spinners for sure lol but its up to them if they want a modded car then a nicely modded bmw or something would be more appropriate, but like i said its up to them

yeah i agree with what you say james.cars such as bmw's,scoobys, evos etc are more appropriate but after all its their car they should be allowed to mod it if they wish

It's a trate in one's blood system, u either want to stand out or you don't.

So many cars are mundane, and just so a like people buy them for that reason, modding your car says somethign about you and how you want to be percieved.

I for one will never have a standard car.

My dad is 55 and bought a 300bhp scooby about 3-4 weeks ago. Yes, I drive it as well, but he loves the modifying scene and can really appreciate the work which goes into cars. Middle ages people can generally do some very good mods as they have the money behind them...
