What’s your definition of the word "Mint" regarding a car?
Am i alone in thinking that if a seller describes their car as being Mint, thats its pretty much spotless. Very clean interior, lovely shiny paint work and faultlessly running engine. I dont expect to see scuffs, scrapes, dints and cracks. Dripping oil, noisy alternator belt and fag stanched interior.
Dont get me wrong, i dont mind scuffs, scrapes, dints and cracks. However if i had a car that has them, i would describe it as fairly good condition. NOT MINT!
I spent 4 hours travelling today to view a car that the owner told me was spotless. Im pretty crap with body work and my mates usually have to point out pin dints to me. However today, this spotless car was a f-ing shed. I actually questioned the seller as to weather or not is was the same car as in the photos. What a waste of a day
Bloody cowboy chavs. GET IT RIGHT

Or maybe they just advertise it as mint to get more viewers?
Either way would fuck me off as well if I wasted 4 hours in the car to look at it. Would probably add to the dents as well with a quick shift of the shoe. Then do a runner.

If they say mint for its age I would expect 1 or 2 dints but nothing too serious, I went to a look at a car a while ago, it was an astra, looked amazing on autotrader, got there and all the body panels we scratched and diff shades of silver!
Was not happy, know how you feel mate

Mint is subjective... i'm a total perfectionist though so for me, mint is nigh on perfect car.
