is there any way of geting rust spots off an exhaust?

Best way is to use some wire wool, then use some autosol metal polish

A good de-greaser and some elbow grease will get the engine bay looking better.
You can also have them steam cleaned.

no idea for that, £15-20 ??
but what i use to clean the exhaust is Autosol (can get it from halfrauds) for a couple of quid, find a smooth cloth and polish it  the outcome imo is amazinly shiny
engine, good olde elbo grease

can buy a crapy one from halfords for about £40-£50 quid which will do the job. other wise use liquid degreaser and an old brush, thats what i do...

white spirits might help
and a lot of a useful product called elbow grease
