Default distance from caliper to wheel, help

ok i have picked up a cheap used set of TSW reflex alloys for my vtr thing is when they are on the car the distance from the front of the caliper to the inside of the wheel is 40mm where as on the standard vtr wheel it is 20mm. For a start the TSW are 10mm wider than the standard vtr one's so i guess that might account for some of it, it does not look as though i will need longer bolts also there is no spacers on the wheels , so basicly all i am asking is this ok. Cheers

not 100% what they came off, got them through a mechanic m8 who took them off a car for a costomer and they didn't want them so asked him if he would be able to sell them, he thinks he took them off a saxo, but it was a while ago, only thing that is different on them is the distance from the front of the calipers to the inside of ther wheel, apart from that they are ok
