Rear Axle
I know this has been done over and over but just need to clear my mind.
My car had its mot today and had an advisory on the rear axle bearings but i am a little confused as my axle got all new bearings last year. There is no noise from the back and absolutely no movement from the arms, in all there is not a thing up with it that i know off so is the garage ripping the piss hoping that i will say fix it or could there be an issue and just because i cant see it does not mean i am right?

If its an advisory, there might be play starting.
Depends how good condition the stub pins (that the bearings run on) were. If they were worn when the arm bearings were replaced, then theyll repeatedly wear out.

skim reading.
Just noticed you said there was no play at all - I think its the garage then; I had a car motd once with a perfect axle, and got the bearings advisory as well. I dont know if they gauge it in some weird way.

Did you pack the bearings with lots of thick grease?? this helps stop the bearings wearing out......
