Default can anyone help?

hi there i seem to be having a small problem with my abs light which occasionally comes on when i go over potholes etc there appears to be a slight knocking from the front left but have had the shock quickly checked-its fine, and new discs and pads have just been fitting ( although problem also existed before new discs and pads went on ) and just before come to a stop i still feel a mild gringing through the brake pedal. can any one help?????

Check your brake fluid level mate. You sure its an ABS light as I only ever remember seeing the brake light, the one that comes on when the handbrake is on.
