Hello there, I am in desperate need of some advice/help. I have a 98 saxo 1.1iSX which was running beautifully but unfortunately had an oil leak which turned out to be the head gasket. After ahving that fixed 3 weeks ago the heater ceased to work which was rectified by flushing nasty gunk out of the heating matrix. But now the cars idle is 300 and tends to stall at traffic lights and even at speed when dropping from 5th to 4th gear which is a little concerning.
The clutch also now rattles like mad when the car is idle, this noise is intermittent but stops when the clutch is in.
As I know very little about cars, various mechanics keep tryin to mug me by saying, hmmm new clutch love, hmmm
new gear box etc etc
Any help or advice is much appreciated.
