Fuck no!! My dad had P reg 318 years ago, it fell apart inside, and it was slow. All he did was moan about it. Steer clear of any E36 beemer mate. Unless you head towards like top spec models. Still nothing special!

If his 318 is faster than your vtr then there is something wrong with your car. My dad has his from brand new, it was reliable, dont get me wrong. But the interior build quality was shocking. Not being funny but why are you asking if you already know about them, or know someone who was had one?

E36 shape 318 shouldn't be as quick as a VTR, assuming both are standard.

Megane's tend to be 1.6 16v's mate, thats why. If your lacking in power and thats all your worried about get a VTS. Not too many small cars about that will be able to keep with a VTS. Very nippy cars!

How would you know if it seemed a faster car? If you were doing the limit and he was going fast than the speed limit its going to seem quicker. Thats just how it works. Youre doin 60 and he's doin 63 its going to seem a faster car.......

They have 318's have about 90bhp per tonne and if your saxo is a 2001 model its has about 108bhp per tonne.
