Default engine heats up quick

hi people just wondered if any1 can give me an idea why my engine temp goes up so quick.when the weather was cold it used to take bout 10 to 20 mins to heat up but now it seems to be only 5mins.lucky enough it only goes to half way then it sorts of stays there,it doesnt go to the red bit which is good. i just think its the weather because it has been very warm lately but if any of u people can give me ur opinion i would be very grateful.i have check my air filter and they r near enough brand new and i have checked my water and they r full so i cnt really think of anything else.

If it staying in the middle of the temp gauge it should be fine, you could check if the fan is kicking in when it gets up to temp...but it sounds fine

your fan should only kik in if it gets hot, leave the car idleing for a while the fan should kik in after a bit if its working, but aslong as your temos not up and down or overheating it sound ok, could need a new stat maybe?
