Default Inlets

Whats the diffrences between the 2 inlets the mk 1's/2's because im gettin some gsx bike carbs And inlet to suite but i think its a later vtr engine there comin of, is it just ones ali and ones plastic, or are they actually diffrent sizes?

Right just found out the inlet for the carbs is of a early blacktop mk1, and im wanting to fit it to mine which is a mk1 silvertop, are the inlets diffrent sizes? or will it just bolt straight on?
