Default Squeeking from the wheel...?

Whenever I drive above 40mph, there is a squeeking sound coming from the drivers side front wheel. When I brake, or turn the wheel a bit, this sound goes away, but when the wheel is straight and im not breaking, the squeeking comes back, what is this? I hope it is nothing serious

sounds like cv joint mate, have a look at it and check that the clip hasn't come off the boot, sounds like the grease may have come out, also check for splits in it.
if it is this, then unless you already have a clip and grease it will only cost you about £5.
