droning whining noise
right this is my third thread about this fucking noise and its really getting on my tits,
basicly im getting a loud low pitch whining noise coming front the front of the car / wheels ect.
i only get the noise when coasting or without any pedal pressure, and its itermitent (spell)
say im in third and need to slow, take my foot of the throttle and it gets going then i put my foot back down and it goes away.
or say i put it in to netrual going down a hill it starts.
i get it in all gears and netrual and at all speeds.
ive taken it to a garage, there drove round with me and 2 garages had know idea wtf it is.
its not the gear box as its not coming from that direction, it sounds to me as if its coming from the drivers cv joint.
anyone got any ideas or is this going to be another thread that gets fuck all replies.

cheers for the imput
im probly just going to replace the dampers and cv joints and go from there.
edit: dan if its the clutch release bearing would it still make a noise when in gear and when in netrual.
also found loads of threads like this one, http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43930
seems this noise is common and almost certainly is the cv joints
anyone know where i can get brand new cv joints on tinternet, tried epay and google already.

Make sure you get the right driveshafts to suit your wheel bearings. You can get square and tapered ends on shafts where they fit to bearings. Mines a T reg and its got tapered, though it seems to be pretty random!
