i need advice people!
Hi everyone need some advice,
Had my bonnet sprayed about 8 months ago, the bodyshop did a really good job and i was pleased up until about 2 months ago.
It seems that the slightest thing is affecting the paint.
This week for example, the car has been outside near a tree. Obviously some blossom came off the tree when it was raining, it sat on the car for about 2 days while i was away with work and now has left marks the same shape as the blossom, tried polishing it out with my Megs g220, compounding pad etc and it wont come off.
Its as if the lacquer is reacting to everything that touches it. Has anyone else experienced this?
This isnt a neglected car, it has a good coat of sealant and a good few coats of a good quality wax every month.
Do you think i should go back to the bodyshop and have a word with them? I really done hope i have to pay yet again.
Please help me.

sounds odd mate. i think you should speak with the bodyshop and explain your concerns. see what they say. surely there is some sort of guarantee on their work for a period.
give it a go

Small udate to the situation.
After a night with no sleep thinking about my bloody bonnet lol (sad i no, but i love my saxo) i thought i would phone the bodyshop just incase were open, i was very relieved when the answered the phone.
Basically the guy has told me that a while back he had an issue with a bad batch of lacquer and he thinks this is the same problem.
So when the car goes to have its sides re-sprayed on the 10th they will be doing the bonnet again as well.
Hopefully things will be sorted then.
Thankyou
James

Sorry for the epic bump, but James are you still happy with the work they've done?
Need some work doing on mine and want to know if these guys are recommended?

It's a shame he was asked to unban you.
Seems you're still bitter about it though.

Clearly you have been misimformed. He wanted to ban me forever and for no reason and the proper mods on this site saw sense.
He was a joke. Good riddance to him.

How have I been misinformed. You said exactly what I did. He was asked to unban you...
He still thinks ginger hair is a legitimate reason for a perma ban.
