Default Cleaning engine bay - engine out style

Right I will be doing an engine swap soon and thought whiloe the engine was out I may as well tidy/clean what I could

Has anyone doen this and whats gonna be best to clean it up? Its minging by the way

a strong degreaser you want, i highly recommend this http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/produc...roducts_id=518 it will shift the dirt with ease.

Gunk degreaser and a pressure wash tbh. Then I'd get some kurust on, then rattle can any areas looking a bit worse for wear. Worst places are under the ECU tray, inner wings etc.

i just got some industrial wipes from halfrauds
some 1200 grit some primer some paint and laquer

wipe off shit
sand down
paint

tidy as fook

Once degreased and prssure washed down, maybe even steam cleaned if you can, use some wire brushes on a rill, can get a selection pack from local diy shop, should get the surface good and ready for painting

g101. jet wash. rub it all down and repaint.

Have a look at joelb's progress blog, he took his engine out to clean the bay up.
