go behind the passenger fuse box reach up and pull a black box down abit bigger that a fag packet.

unplug it with the car running

switch the car off

Make sure the immobiliser light doesn't come on at all when you try and restart it. I've had quite a few people think they've unlocked it when in fact they've removed the wrong box all together lol

Basically removing the box mentioned, stops the ecu from being immobilised when you switch off, which means you can then transfer the euc to another car/use a new ecu on yours without swapping keys etc...

when this thread is alive again, i just want small advice.
when we unplug keyboard on started engine and turn it off and remove an ECU, does it still remani unlocked?

if so, and we try this ECU on another car and we we´ll want to put it back into its original place/car, how can we enable imobilliser agian. if we cant, that is not so big deal, but myfriend is afraid of, that he will need to put some genuine code, which he doesnt have at all. he third owner, car is 10 years old, so there is no chance to find out any code in this case...

is he afraid of this rightly?

plugging the keypad back in will re-arm the immobliser.

The keypad must be the one that came with the orginal ecu and you must have the 4 digit code or you will be unable to start the car without sending it off to be unlocked.

Silly question maybe, but is it the same process for a Mk2 vtr? 3 plug.
