Gear Knob Help
Underneath the original gear knob theres a white plastic part thats attatched to the metal gear stick. Do i take this off before fitting my new gear knob?
Any help will be great.

you keep it on.
just had a look in my book.
theres lugs on the side, you have to cut/trim them of, and slice the pointy bit off.
thats out of the saxo modification haynes manuel.

I had to remove the white bit as the new one wouldnt fit, even with 3 or different fittings lol.

No.
Pliers, pulled the bugger off.
New one is nice, although slightly loose. A touch of glue, rubber washer etc will tighten it.
Its hard to say as I dont know what fittings you have.

i not the one fitting a new one.
that why it didnt fit then. supposed to trim the sides and cut the point of, then like you said all the fittings that come with the gear knob fit on the white bit then.
