Default front damper modification!

Does anyone know of anywhere that can cut my standard front dampers and re-tap the thread on the top, i need a few inches off as i have 7'' 275lb springs to put on but havent got the dampers yet so was gonna do this as a temp.

help appreciated.

any engineering company with a lathe could do it

however i would just leave standard springs in till you get your dampers
the standards really wont cope with 275 lb the sruggle to cope at 140ish

im gettin some gaz struts made, i didnt choose the springs, they are spares from my race car.

coilover struts you mean? i hope you mean proper gaz dampers not the normal road ones
