Default Bonnet Wont Open! Manually?

Basically the bonnet won't open using the lever inside the car. I imagine it's slightly corroded somewhere along the line. How can I do this manually?

Have someone pull the lever all the way while you gently pull on the bonnet.

It's ok first one sorted it!

Next question. Im trying to jump it from another car but even though the connections are connecten properly it doesn't seem to be making any difference?

It's trying to tick over, so thje battery is connected properly ect. But just isn't getting the benefit of the jump cables.

Something do with earth wire or something?
