subs add to the lower range of your music, thus making it sound better.
they can only be a good thing

my only problem was actually getting it in colour, finally got it there tho, bitch to get everything hiden away

subs are good!
i have one, but it died. i now have 2 home stereo speakers hooked up to my amp for the rear of the car, and i have set up the amp to only use them for the bass lines... that way they are being used as subs in a way. and they Buuuuuummmmmppppp!

Seriously though, how can something thats common like that be a bad thing.
Like Braided brake lines...they aint essential, but theyre a good addative. How can somthing that improves a setup thats common be shit lmao

cranked up full blast drowning out the music, a bad thing (eg: chavs with 3000000000000000000000000000w sub and standard 10w speakers!)
however, complimenting the sound (i usually have mine so you can hear it but just about feel it) is a better thing, makes it sound so much fuller and, well, bassier!

Yeh obviously setup its a good thing. Chavs screw the bass up and love the distort effect, they actually think their bassline garage is meant to sound like that... brumpth boom boom brumpth brap imo

sounds like a really stupid comment tbh.
if you like it, have one, if not, dont.
i dont concider anyone with one as 'common'. but that would make me twice as common as i have 2!!

My sub broke. Dont really miss it I just amp up the 6x9s now and sounds good and quite a bit of bass. But the bass doesn't travel through the car as much when you're on the go.
But the sub did do my head in now and then as even if you want to play the music quiet there is still a massive thump coming from the boot.
