Default what do i choose . . .

right, im looking at a new main body upgrade...

i can get both of them at very good prices.
the Canon 7D
OR
Canon 5D MK II

megapixels / FPS dont bother me too much!
as i wont be going to massive scales, not doing fast action shots / sports and such.

i was giving up on my photography, and flogged all my Flash units and such, so swaying more towards the 7D for the built in *even though id probarally never use it anyway*

cropped sensor or full frame..

i would be getting this set up either way with.

24-70 f4
70-200 f2.8
and
2X converter

keeping the package small and sweet.

obvioulsy, they would work well with either, but AMAZING on the 5D but is it worth the extra 2-250 bucks for full frame? and extras that id never use.

what would you guys get and WHY ?!

cheers dude!

im looking at the same options when i upgrade and i think i am going to go for the 7d.
firstly i do a fair amount of motorsport photography and the extra focal length from using a cropped sensor is always useful. Also i am really interested in the HD video function and i have heard that the 7d is far superior at this. especially as it allows you to shoot 60fps which means you can do slow mo.

there are also some other nice functions on the 7d like a digital spirit level on the screen which is good for still life and landscapes.

also do you lose autofocus with a x2 convertor with the 70-200 f2.8, as on the f4 version and on my 10d it ment manual focus. x1.4 still keeps autofocus.

i have found the 7d for around £1150 from a reputable HK retailer, where as the 5dmk2 is around £1600
