Smile 1.1 Or VTR Struts?

Hi Friends.

I'd just like to know what the difference is between 1.1 4 stud Struts and VTR 4 stud Struts, basicaly my 1.1 needs new Driveshafts, Discs... But now I've decided to put a VTR Lump in and it will be modded quite a bit, I'm useing 1.1 box, but I've bought 1.1 discs and drive shafts =/ So I'd like to know if they'd fit on VTR Struts or not? Or is it even worth useing VTR Struts? My Car is 2001 1.1 4 Stud.

Thanks friends and Merry Christmas

If you use the VTR struts then you'll be able to then fit the VTR/VTS anti roll bar aswel as they have the extra 'wing' like bit under where the track rod end mounts which the ARB drop links attach to

Of course if you're going to that trouble of putting the VTR engine you really need to be upgrading the rest of your parts like wishbones, driveshafts, brakes

The 1.1 driveshafts wont last long either as theyre not meant for alot of power. Similarly the 1.1 brakes are solids and arent particularly good. look out for some calipers from the VTR/VTS (same ones on westcoast and furio's too) you could get these very cheap and they will be a safe improvement for braking

Yeah I was wondering if the Discs would work with VTR Struts and Calipers though? Are they the same Size? Because I bought EBC Grooved Discs for 1.1 and I'd like to use them if they'd fit, Don't matter if they don't last long lol
