£170 to spend
as above what should i get,
thought about an exhaust but cant find one within budget and that i like, prefer the look of the peco and piper but wasnt sure if there was any point getting a backbox only and getting a centre pipe later, seen on pistonheads angels for mk1 and maybe a raceland with green filter, also on pistonheads simota induction kit for £140 ish, maybe a different set of alloys seen some pug ones(4 stud) on ebay which might fall within budget

First thing you should do is lower. Wether it be 30mm or 60mm. Always the best thing you can do to a car... certainly in terms of looks.

If you haven't got an induction kit or decent panel filter then i'd fit one before an exhaust. Makes more sense to me

pocket money modding is tragic
why dont you save up for something you want rather than just buying anything that you can afford

its in the garage at the mo. will get some taken tomorrow evening for you.
once on the car it looks like a 3" magnex pugsport. it sounds similar but not quite as raspy. quiet on idle.
