i tell him hes being a selfish n*b and im going leave, he tells me that he's sorry and we'll do things together, but it never happens.

if you are not getting what you want from a relationship then why hang around in hope. People dont change unless they are forced to...

My ex was like that. If he was out with his friends it seemed that he was having the best time of his life and when he was with me the worst.
It did get so bad for us we split up.
Myabe you should take a break and say you need some time to 'think' then if he is all sorry he will come running

Ok i'm female for surely hes allowed to have mates as well? Spending all your time together could be a lot worse, maybe try actually organising doing some stuff together either just the two of you or along with his/your mates?
I wouldn't throw away 4 years over something like that if that is all that is going wrong.

Four years is a long time so try things to make your relationship work rather than just chucking it all away.
i had an ex that spent a lot of time with mates but i never really let him know until it was too late...
you two need to have a serious talk about how your feeling and maybe you two should go on a break, he might realise how much you mean to him then?

Agree if your not happy dump him. There is no point hanging about with some one who makes you unhappy.
Though on the flip side you may wish to take step back and take a clear view. Often what people want is unreasonable, selfish or simply not possible. This is not to say in any way what you are after is its just something that can happen.
But if you do split up with him at least tell him why. Also if you want him to stop contacting you or whatever tell him clearly why. Don't just ignore him and hope it goes away.

If you arent getting what you want from a relationship (especially having discussed the issues) there's not alot of point carrying on as is probably delaying the inevital

if you were to discuss it and things change, i guarantee it will only be for a month or 2 then things will go back to how they used to be. so my advice i would leave him and see if he comes to you if he dont then well his loss

hang out with your mates everytime he wants to see you.
kind of a waste throwing away 4 years.
tbh i wouldn play games at all.
no point hurting each other really.
what do yous do when you do eventually hang out???
maybe hes bored?(dont mean to be brunt)
what does he do with the lads that he cant do with you?
